Obagi has been a fixture in dermatology offices for decades and the reputation is earned. The Professional-C 15% serum is one of the most reliable L-ascorbic acid formulas on the market — stable, fast-absorbing and genuinely brightening within four to six weeks.
The Nu-Derm system is more demanding. It is a multi-step protocol designed to remodel hyperpigmented or sun-damaged skin and the purging phase is real — expect peeling and sensitivity for several weeks before clarity emerges. Used as directed, the results on melasma and stubborn pigmentation are hard to match outside an in-office treatment.
